International Children’s Digital Library http://www.childrenslibrary.org/

The International Children’s Digital Library is a website whose mission is to build a collection of books that shows both historical and contemporary books from around the world. They aspire to have every single culture and language represented in their website so that every student can read through literature that can help enrich their appreciation of their heritage as well as others. The website has organized links such as the book list, but they also give links based on how one would like to filter the book choices. One can choose books by the language it is spoken in, books by color, books by shapes, books by format and even books by genre and character. They also have fiction and nonfiction which they dubbed as “believe vs. make believe.”

They are a website which is in partnership with the University of Maryland’s Human-Computer Interaction Lab. Overall, this website has a vast amount of books and with many different genres and styles of books. Since the website is free, there is no need for any subscription and students will be able to choose the books that they find interesting and informative.
